If we could see the world only as it is and not what it could be, life would be hopeless.
Fortunately, there is ONEXONE and the worthy organizations it supports. They see a world where the hungry are fed, the sick are treated, and the vulnerable are protected. They believe in preventing the preventable, fixing the fixable. We're grateful for all that they do.
But the impact of their initiatives extends well beyond the children and communities they serve. Their mission offers each and every one of us an inspirational message.
Just as it's been said that "if you want to build a boat, teach people to long for the endless immensity of the sea," we can now say that if you want to build a better world teach people to long for the end to unnecessary suffering.
That's our take-away from ONEXONE. A new world is possible — one life at a time.
I want to thank all those involved in this endeavour: the sponsors, supporters and all those volunteers who've shown why generosity is one of the greatest acts of kindness. I also want to recognize those behind the genesis of this generosity, with a special mention to the Adler and Rogers families.
I'm honoured to be associated with ONEXONE and to have served as your Chair for the 2008 gala events. This is truly a special organization, one that ensures we live each day with a greater hope for tomorrow.
Sincerely,

Frank McKenna
