ONEXONE collaborates with Sully Wong Shoes on a mission to raise funds through fashion

July 10, 2014 (Toronto, ON) – The Board of Directors of ONEXONE Foundation have partnered with Sully Wong Shoe Company to embark on one of their most creative charitable initiatives to date – the limited edition Sully Wong x ONEXONE HOPE Sneaker. Creating a one-of-a-kind, unisex sneaker, the collaboration aims to support the organization’s initiative to raise funds for the ONEXONE Paediatric Wing in Hospital Mirebalis in Haiti by donating 50 percent of sale proceeds to the cause.

“Henry and I are both thrilled to be working with ONEXONE on this sneaker project,” said George Sully, co-founder of Sully Wong.  “The initiative hits close to home as both my parents are from Haiti, so I am honoured to collaborate with such a committed organization on its mission to support relief efforts in Haiti.”

The limited edition Sully Wong x ONEXONE HOPE Sneaker features ONEXONE’s iconic red and black signature colours, combined with Sully Wong’s clean, low-cut silhouette style. The shoe also incorporates a quality natural duck canvas exterior with a red, hand-stitched capsule base. Added details include eight ONEXONE inspired custom-lace eyelets; an outer heel and toe thread; and is complete with a removable commemorative ONEXONE footpad.

“I have always encouraged everyone to leverage their business for good,” said Joelle (Joey) Berdugo-Adler, founder of ONEXONE Foundation. “George and Henry’s sneaker is a prime example of their commitment to creating ‘good’ with their incredible talent and creativity. We are so proud and honoured to be collaborating with Sully Wong.”

Shoe lovers and ONEXONE advocates will have a chance to not only add a limited edition Sully Wong x ONEXONE HOPE sneaker to their collection but support an effort that will aid the children of Haiti – a true fashion statement with a lasting impact. The sneaker is unisex, and there are only 360 pairs available in a full size range – women’s 6-9 and men’s 9-13 – for $150 plus HST. The HOPE sneaker will be sold exclusively at the Brad J. Lamb King West Block Party taking place on July 19 from 12 – 4 p.m. (778 King St. W.) and available online at post event.
