ONEXONE CELEBRATION: STAR MUSICIANS LEND THEIR VOICES FOR ONE INCREDIBLE TORONTO WEEKEND

Harry Connick Jr., Lupe Fiasco, Kardinal Offishall, Melanie Fiona and more perform in special musical events September 9th and 10th

Toronto, ON - ONEXONE today announced a powerhouse line up of star musicians who will lend their talents in an effort to raise awareness and funds for children in need in Canada, the United States, Haiti, and around the world. Harry Connick Jr., Lupe Fiasco, Kardinal Offishall, Melanie Fiona and other musical guests will perform at Toronto events on September 9th and 10th in support of ONEXONE.

“These events are celebrations of the work we are doing every day through ONEXONE,” said Joey Adler, Founder and Chair, ONEXONE. “By combining passion with action we can work together to improve the lives of vulnerable children around the globe, one by one.”

ONEXONE has designed two unique weekend musical experiences in Toronto to help celebrate its achievements and future goals.

• September 9th, 2011, 6:30 pm, Four Seasons Hotel - ONEXONE’s Gala Event featuring an intimate performance by Grammy® award winner Harry Connick Jr. followed by Hold’em For Life Celebrity Charity Challenge. This event will bring the glitz, glamour and entertainment of Vegas to Toronto - the hottest place to see and be seen!
• September 10th, 2011, 9:00 pm, Kool Haus – DIESEL presents Lupe Fiasco for ONEXONE in partnership with ONEXONE, ONE UP (a group of young philanthropic volunteers supporting the mission of ONEXONE) and INK. Special performances by Lupe Fiasco, Kardinal Offishall, Melanie Fiona and other guest artists will make you want to move to the beat.

Last year, ONEXONE raised over $13M in donations and supplies. Ninety-five percent of the funds raised were given directly to programs and projects that give children access to five fundamental pillars - water, food, healthcare, education and play.
