Thank you to everyone on the IDS team for choosing ONEXONE as the charity of choice for this year’s show and for making it a huge success. Thanks to many designers and volunteers, the ONEXONE Blu Dot Chair Auction was a profound success. The auction showcased 19 Blu Dot Real Good Chairs each reimagined by a designer, artist or illustrator.
The designers who contributed their time and talents to making this so successful were: Doublenaut, Luke Ramsey, Jason Cass for Farrow & Ball, Sonny Assu, moimoi design, James Monkman, Oeuffice, Marian Bantjes, Monnet Design, Carlos Zapata studio, Winnie Truong, Gary Taxali, Ian Grais, Steve Rockwell, Burton Kramer, Marilyn Lightstone, We Kill You, Instant Coffee, and Andrew Pommier. Thank you all!
Our gratitude also goes out to Kia Canada and RIMOWA North America Inc. for their incredible support.
The Kia exhibit featured Kia vehicles with designs by Karim Rashid, Christian Lemieux, Douglas Coupland and Jurgen Mayer H. Some of them kindly donated original sketches to be auctioned off in support of ONEXONE.
Ten pieces of RIMOWA luggage, each featuring a design by a George Brown college student or alumni, were auctioned off in support of ONEXONE. Contributing artists were: Rachel Dotimas, Michael Li Preti, Raymond Esteves, Melissa Boyes, Julian Ng & Nathan Brown, Cindy Vasquez, Aprile Elcich, Joelle Wall, Priscilla Parizeau, and Jennifer Gould.
Lastly, THANK YOU to the many volunteers that came out to help out. Thank you for your time, energy and continued support. We couldn’t do it without you!!
